City of Lodi / Lodi Lake Docents
Lodi's cheapest and most enriching toddler outdoor activity. Lodi Lake Tot Nature Programs are docent-led sessions for ages 2-4 with a caregiver, running Mondays 10am to 11am at the Lodi Lake Amphitheater. $5 per adult/child pair, $3 each additional kid. Curriculum is sensory exploration along the Mokelumne River — touching natural objects, listening for bird sounds, smelling flowers and leaves, observing wildlife. Lodi parents pick this for a structured weekly toddler outing that does not cost much, for early science exposure without anything that feels like school, or for a Monday-morning routine that gets the kid outside before the worst of the day's heat (especially valuable in summer). This is staffed by city docents who know Lodi Lake intimately and pass that knowledge to the kids.
