Preschool Programs in Lodi (Ages 3–5)

Sports, dance, gymnastics, and enrichment classes for Lodi's youngest kids. What's actually available and where to start.

Sports options that work for 3- to 5-year-olds

The earliest organized sports in Lodi start at age 3. [Tot T-Ball](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/tot-t-ball) through Parks & Rec is a 6-week Saturday morning program at Peterson Park for ages 3-5. Games last about 45 minutes, which is what this age group can actually focus on. $49 resident.

[Little Leapers Preschool Sports](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/little-leapers-preschool-sports) runs Saturday morning sessions for ages 2-5, with separate programs for soccer, a Tiny Tots Soccer + T-Ball combo, and Farm School (sensory + movement). Each is 8 weeks.

[Blue Chip Flag Football](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/blue-chip-flag-football-fall) accepts kids as young as 3 in their co-ed divisions. Games are Sundays at Tokay High School. $139-$180 per season. If you want non-contact football with the youngest age bracket in town, this is it.

Parks & Rec also runs [Tot Sports Programs](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/tot-sports-programs) that rotate between soccer, t-ball, and basketball. Ages 3-5, $45-$60 per 6-week session. Designed to let kids try multiple sports before committing to one.

Movement and gymnastics

[Impact Kinderland](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/impact-preschool-gymnastics) is the earliest organized movement program most Lodi parents try. Starts as soon as a child is a steady walker and runs through age 4. Classes are 35 minutes, structured around tumbling, balance beams, and obstacle courses. $97/month at Impact's Lodi or Galt locations.

For summer, [Impact Sports Summer Camps 2026](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/impact-sports-summer-camps-2026) includes Tot Camps specifically for ages 3-5, focused on movement and social development in a safe gym environment.

Dance classes

[Tots Tap and Tumble](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/tots-tap-and-tumble) combines tap dance and tumbling for ages 3-5 through Parks & Rec at Hutchins Street Square. $79 resident per session. One of the few programs that mixes dance and gymnastics for this age group.

[Ballet Pre-School (Ages 3-5)](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/ballet-pre-school-ages-3-5) through Parks & Rec covers the earliest ballet classes, focused on movement and following an instructor rather than technical ballet yet. $79 resident / $150 non-resident per session at Hutchins Street Square.

[Next Level Dance & Cheer Academy](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/next-level-dance-cheer-academy) accepts kids as young as 3 in their recreational programs, covering dance and cheer with a faith-based approach. $95/month plus registration fee.

[Showstoppers Dance Studio](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/showstoppers-dance-studio) also starts at age 3, with 40 years of operation in Lodi. Family-owned, covers ballet through hip hop. $65-$200/month depending on class count.

Martial arts

[Strive Jiu Jitsu Academy](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/strive-jiu-jitsu-academy) runs Tiny Grapplers for ages 3-5. Play-based self-defense twice a week with small class sizes. One of the only Brazilian Jiu Jitsu programs in Lodi that accepts kids this young.

[Cutting Edge Martial Arts](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/cutting-edge-martial-arts) teaches Taekwondo starting at age 4. ~$99/month.

Music and enrichment

[Mommy & Me Music](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/mommy-me-music) through Parks & Rec is a 6-week program for ages 2-5 with a caregiver. Wednesdays at 10am at Hutchins Street Square. ~$40. Parent and kid together, not a drop-off class.

[Lodi Lake Tot Nature Programs](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/lodi-lake-tot-nature-programs) are docent-led outdoor sessions for ages 2-4 with a caregiver. Mondays 10-11am at the Lodi Lake Amphitheater. $5 per pair. One of the cheapest enriching activities in town.

[World of Wonders Science Museum](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/world-of-wonders-science-museum) downtown accepts all ages. $7-$9 admission. Interactive exhibits work well for preschoolers who are past the everything-goes-in-the-mouth stage.

Where to start

Pick one thing. Preschoolers don't need multiple weekly commitments yet. If your kid is high-energy, try gymnastics or a sport. If they're more cautious or creative, start with dance or music. Most programs let you try a session before committing to a full season.
