The Complete Guide to Lodi Summer Camps and Programs for 2026

Every free option, every full-day camp, every specialty week. Real prices, real schedules, no fluff.

If you are a Lodi parent staring at a 12-week summer break, you have one job. Figure out where your kid will be from 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, for three months. Without losing your mind.

This guide covers every summer camp and youth program running in Lodi in 2026. We list real prices, real schedules, and real registration links. Most of it is pulled directly from each organization's own postings, so the info is current as of late May 2026. Where prices say "Varies," it means the org sets seasonal rates and you should contact them directly.

We organized it the way Lodi parents actually think about summer camps. By price, by length, and by what your kid is into.

Programs for the youngest kids (under 5)

Most summer camps in Lodi start at age 4 or 5. For kids 2 to 4, the pickings are slim but here is what we found.

Lodi Lake Tot Nature Programs for ages 2 to 4 run Mondays 10am to 11am at the Lodi Lake Amphitheater. Docent-led sessions along the Mokelumne River exploring the sights, sounds, and smells of nature. $5 per adult-and-child pair, $3 each additional. Cheapest and most enriching toddler program in Lodi. [Sign up.](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/lodi-lake-tot-nature-programs)

Impact Sports Tot Camps are the sports camp option for ages 3 to 5. Half-day, focused on movement and social development. Contact Impact for current pricing. [Details.](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/impact-sports-summer-camps-2026)

Kiddie Kamp at Lodi Parks and Rec Summer Safari covers ages 4 to 5 as part of the broader Safari Camp full-day program. [Details.](https://lodikidsactivities.com/programs/summer-safari-camp)

How to choose the right camp for your kid

Start with the constraint, not the activity. Most parents agonize over which camp will be the most enriching, when the real question is which combination of camps will cover your work hours and your budget. Solve that first, then optimize for what your kid is actually into.

If you need 7am to 6pm coverage every day: Summer Safari Camp at Lodi Parks and Rec is the only true full-day option, period. Boys and Girls Club is the cheaper alternative for ages 6 and up. Use Before and After Camp Care to extend the half-day specialty camps if you need to.

If your kid is highly active and needs to get out energy: Skyhawks any sport camp, Impact Sports, FCA Golf, or Kids Kayak Camp. The Skyhawks Multi Sport is the best try-it-all option.

If your kid is sensitive, shy, or struggles in big groups: Look for smaller-cohort programs. Ceramics Summer Series at Meet the Maker, Water Safe Swim with Miss Julie, or any of the smaller specialty camps (Intro to Painting is just 4 days). Avoid the big full-day camps which can be overwhelming.

If your kid is curious and asks a lot of "why" questions: WOW Science Camp, LEGO Robotics, Slime Science, or Jr. Crime Scene Detectives.

If you want a free or low-cost summer: Junior Giants (free), Boys and Girls Club afternoons (free for ages 6 to 18), OEG Camp (free for teens), WOW for All Free Days, and Lodi Lake Tot Nature Programs ($5). You can put together a full summer of programming for under $200 if you mix these.

If your kid is creative or theater-inclined: Magic Makers, Songwriters, Stage and Scene Adventures, Clay Creations, or Jewelry from the Earth. The Lodi Parks and Rec arts lineup is genuinely strong for a town this size.

Registration tips for Lodi summer camps

A few hard-earned lessons from watching Lodi parents navigate registration:

1. Register early. Summer Safari Camp and Boys and Girls Club typically fill before mid-May. Specialty Parks and Rec camps fill three to four weeks ahead. If you are reading this in May and have not registered yet, do it today.

2. Check for early-bird discounts. Most Parks and Rec camps have a resident vs non-resident rate. Lodi residents save $14 to $20 per camp.

3. Ask about multi-week discounts. Skyhawks, Impact, and WOW all offer them if you sign up your kid for multiple weeks at once. The savings can be $30 to $60 per additional week.

4. Confirm the cancellation policy before you pay. Lodi summers can be 105 degrees by July, and a sick kid plus a non-refundable deposit is a frustrating combination.

5. Pack sunscreen, water, and a hat every day. Lodi heat is real and it hits earlier than people remember.

6. For Safari Camp specifically, registration is in-person only at 230 W. Elm Street. No online registration for that program. Bring a check or card, your kid's vaccination records, and emergency contact info.
