SF Giants Community Fund / City of Lodi
FREE non-competitive co-ed baseball and softball for Lodi kids ages 5-13, through the SF Giants Community Fund. 8-week summer program focused on character development, health, education, and bullying prevention — the curriculum is as much life skills as it is baseball. Pitching machines for younger ages so kids actually make contact. The fact that this is completely free is the headline — no equipment to buy, no fees, no catch. Lodi parents pick this when they want their kid to try baseball without committing to BOBS or Morada Little League prices, when financial constraints make paid leagues impossible, or when they want a less-competitive baseball intro than rec leagues offer.
