Lodi's only kids' pickleball program. Skyhawks runs Beginner Pickleball for ages 5-8 on Tuesdays 4:30 to 5:20pm at Kofu Tennis Courts, $92 resident / $100 non-resident through Lodi Parks and Rec. Pickleball is a fast-growing racket sport (tennis-badminton-ping-pong hybrid) that has surged in popularity nationally, but most facilities focus on adult play. Skyhawks teaches the basics: serving, rallying, shot placement, and court movement. Lodi parents pick this when they want their kid in a racket sport with rapid skill progression, when they want a sport they themselves can play with their kid (pickleball is genuinely multi-generational), or when they want a niche sport that is not dominated by every kid in their grade. Eight weeks.
