BOBS - Boosters of Boys/Girls Sports
The only Lodi basketball league specifically for grades 7-8. Comet Basketball is co-ed recreational basketball run by BOBS in partnership with the City of Lodi Parks and Rec. It fills the gap above the City's Junior Basketball program, which only covers grades K-6, and below high school freshman teams. Lodi parents pick this when their middle schooler has aged out of the City's Junior Basketball but is not yet on a school team, or when they want their kid in a non-cut, low-pressure league through middle school. 12-week program with practices and games Monday through Thursday evenings at Lodi gyms. Registration opens September. Games typically run November through February.
