Slime science camp for Lodi kids ages 7-12. Weekday afternoons 1pm to 5pm at Hutchins Street Square. $170 for the week. The hook is making slime, but the curriculum is actually chemistry — kids mix recipes, vary ingredient ratios, predict what happens, and observe how chemical bonds and polymer chains create the slime properties they see and feel. Lodi parents pick this when their kid is obsessed with slime (most are at some point), when they want a science camp that is sticky and weird rather than serious, or when they want a half-day afternoon option for a non-academic kid who would resist anything called "science class." Kids leave with actual chemistry vocabulary they did not realize they were learning.
