One of the most unique kids summer experiences in Lodi, run by the Lodi Boathouse at Lodi Lake. A 3-day intensive kayak camp for ages 8-13, all skill levels welcome. The student-to-instructor ratio is unusually low (8:1) — most other Lodi summer camps run at 12:1 or higher. Curriculum covers paddling technique, on-water safety, and on-water games, capped by a graduation-day river excursion. All equipment (kayak, paddle, life vest) is provided. Lodi parents pick this when their kid wants a non-traditional summer camp experience, when they want a water-based activity that is not just swim lessons, or when they want their kid building real outdoor recreation skills they can carry into adulthood. $260 for the 3 days. Spots fill fast because the small ratio caps enrollment.
