City of Lodi Aquatics runs a swim class built specifically for swimmers with adaptive needs, ages 5 1/2 to 12, at Enze Pool. The goal is comfort in and around the water plus real life-saving skills, not lap times. Classes run Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 PM and are 25 minutes each, which is deliberately short so kids stay regulated and engaged. One helper per swimmer gets in the water with them and learns how to encourage movement, play, and water safety, so a parent or aide leaves knowing what to practice. This is a separate class from the five progressive levels in the regular Year-Round Swim Lessons program. Lodi parents pick this when a mainstream group lesson has not worked, when their kid needs one-to-one support in the water, or when water safety is the priority. Register through Lodi Parks and Rec: lodirec@lodi.gov or (209) 333-6742.
