Magic-performance camp for Lodi kids ages 7-12. Weekday afternoons 1pm to 5pm at Hutchins Street Square. $170 for the week. Campers learn the fundamentals of stage magic — including the actual mechanics of illusions, the performance and misdirection techniques that make tricks work, and rehearsal for the final-day showcase where they perform tricks for parents and peers. Lodi parents pick this when they have a kid who already does magic-trick YouTube binges, when they want a camp that builds public speaking and stage presence as a side effect, or when they want a camp with a definite culminating performance that gives the kid a real accomplishment to point to. Bonus: magic skills build manual dexterity and confidence in ways most other camps do not.
