This class is for beginning ballet dancers and dancers continuing from Pre-School Ballet. Students learn body alignment, basic vocabulary, and strengthening and flexibility of the body. All done in an atmosphere of encouragement with an emphasis on group spirit and an appreciation of music. Part of the Lodi Ballet Program. Advance placement in any Ballet class is by instructor approval only. Only students enrolled in all of the last 3 sessions before a show are guaranteed a role in the performance. Dress requirements: Girls wear black leotards, pink tights, and pink leather ballet slippers, hair up and back off the face and neck. Boys wear white t-shirts, white socks, black leather ballet slippers, and black stretch pants or shorts.
